I enjoyed the movie but I would not pay to see it at the theater. It was nice to see the musician side of Meryl Streep which was a very pleasant surprise. The 30yo+ crowd would enjoy the music as well. The movie had very interesting elements but never developed one aspect beyond the surface. Too many paths left unexplored to make it a more than average movie.

Interesting to see Meryl Streep play this role. A bit predictable but still a pretty entertaining movie.

I felt that the film was rather light hearted for such heavy subject matter. I think the why behind ricki behaviour could have been explored more. I also wasn't sure if it was portraying a feminist perspective that women should follow their dreams and sacrifices need to be made. It just walked the fence between absent mother and career driven woman but it never dug into either of these themes.

It was a funny light hearted comedy.
