The movie took away too many of the geeky references, and added more pop-culture references. I enjoyed the Shining scene, but many of the keys/gates were much better in the book.

Ready Player One was a fun movie. It's set in the future but the world still looks more or less the same as today. The futuristic element is in The Oasis.RPO has a great plot with references to a few old school games and songs.

A fun homage to 80's Iconica

Enjoyable in parts, a bit cringeworthy in others. It's a movie that seems aimed at 12-year-olds who have an inexplicable nostalgia for the pop culture of the 80's and 90's.
