A well-known story told from a different perspective than usual. However, I was a little annoyed to see Roman soldiers portrayed as bumbling stooges and kept wondering whose idea was that. I don’t believe that I have ever known Roman soldiers to be thought of as awkward, lazy, whiney sops and it dishonored the story because of it.

Being compared to The Passion of Christ, is an over statement. This movie was extremely slow, although, if you know the Bible, not too much was going on during those three days, people were in mourning. As a Christian, I would take a non-believer to see the movie in an effort to get them to understand Christianity. But, if I had watched it at home, I would have fallen asleep because I already know how the story ends. All-in-all it's a pretty good movie.

Interesting biblical story told from the perspective on a non-believer, Clavius, who is told to investigate the resurrection of Jesus and prove it is fake. Joseph Fiennes did a great job in the lead role. I can see how unless you saw Jesus and witnessed his miracles in person, how it would have been hard to believe back then. The movie dragged a little. If you have no interest in religion, I'm not sure it will hold your attention. I enjoyed it.

I thought the scenery was great. I'm a huge fan of Joseph Fienes and I thought he did a good job acting. The story was okay... could have been written a little bit better.
