Very slow moving and about an hour too long. The concept is solid but the execution was lacking. Very cool alien monsters, though, I loved their design. Not a completely terrible movie but I doubt I will ever watch it again.

It was no Guardians of the Galaxy. Hokey Hallmark like moments coupled with disparate displays of special effects. Lava kid and Conspiracy Santa provided the best moments in the movie. Could have used more humor and less sap and special effects.

ABOUT HALFWAY THRU, WE TURNED IT OFF.\r1. HARD TO HEAR THE MUMBLED DIALOG AND THERE WERE NO SUBTITLES.\r2. VERY SLOW START, HACKNEYED BACKSTORY (ESTRANGED FATHER ETC) \r3. SOME POOR ACTING/DIRECTING . CHRIS PRATT LOOKED GOOGLY EYED o_o MUCH OF THE TIME. \r4. SPECIAL FX DOES NOT EQUAL A WELL-WRITTEN, COMPELLING STORY.\rSORRY - WE WERE LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS, BUT IS WAS JUST AN AWFUL WASTE OF RESOURCES.
