A very disjointed movie that doesnt know when to end. Starting with the good, the creature design is fantastic. The look and functionality of it works. The premise is interesting and could have delivered with different actors. Pratt goes back to the well once more to play the situational funny guy. The jokes dont land as they are too far removed from the reality this movie tries to build. This isnt a comedy. There are no comedic tones in the story, yet the characters are stuck in a different movie. The whole third act is unnecessary & somehow more unrealistic than the whole time jumping thing.

Felt like something similar to Starship Troopers. I feel if AMAZON studios are purchasing the rights to these films, they should be better polished before being released. CGI felt mediocre, even with the aliens. Movie could have been a lot better with a decent music score to go with it. Just doesn't have that movie theater authenticity for this movie even with star actors.

The premise had potential but the movie tried to cram too much material into one movie. It would have been better served by a trilogy where the plot holes could be adequately addressed and suspense built rather than ramming backstory through dialogue. Speaking of dialogue, the movie bounced between refreshing comedic bits and nauseating drama tropes. It needed to make up its mind tonally instead of flipping around willy-nilly. The big dramatic monologue moments were not earned due to the lack of suspense and buildup. Interesting premise, butchered execution. Justice League, not Snyder edition.
