Thought the premise was good but it lacked substance. Did not care much for the movie.

You can get 2.5 stars. Nice fish out of water take. Nice acting. She should have been given a chance to sing her song in its entirety.

I thought the concept was very entertaining. The beginning of the movie when the astronauts were preparing for and on Mars was very thoughtful. Gardner's friendship with the Tulsa on earth was appropriate UNTIL they were in the sleeping bag with no clothes on. I was very disappointed that the director decided to imply that teenagers (16 and 17) were engaging in sexual activities inappropriately. They were not consenting adults and this should not have been included in the movie. Kissing is fine. Holding hands is fine. But advancing beyond that is inappropriate. I brought by 14 year old son to this screening and I was hoping that their relationship would not advance sexually, however, it did. I wish our country would be more considerate about what we put on the big screen and deem appropriate for teenagers. It is actually illegal for minors to engage in sexual activity in many states. If it were not for this major flaw, I would have given the movie an higher rating. My son and I noticed an additional flaw, when Gardner and Tulsa were on the plane as his heart was failing and they reached a point of zero gravity, their hair and clothes were not experiencing zero gravity. Specifically, the hoods of their jackets were not "floating" and their hair was still laying on their head. I appreciate the opportunity to view this movie. I hope the director will be more thoughtful when delivering a message geared to teenagers.

kind of humorous at how bad it was. when the kid was dying the smart people at nasa couldn't put him in an anti gravity chamber? or even a pool? I mean the kid had the right idea about going into the ocean to "die". The insinuating sex scene between teenagers was very uncalled for and unnecessary. they could have left the scene out with them naked in a sleeping bag and all would still understand. I was laughing most of the time at how bad the acting was.
