I knew going in it would be over the top, but it was a little too cheesy. There were a few decent jump scares and tense situations, which I enjoyed. It just seemed like 10 different writers wrote different scenes they wanted to include and then an intern was forced to seem them together in one semi-cohesive story. Who nicknames megaladon in 5 seconds?

Dumber than dumb.

Generic. Bland. Shark action was minimal. Shark was not scary, bad CGI and not nearly as large as shown on poster. Jason Statham was inessential and could have been anyone. Story was poor and writing was worse. One of the worst movies of the year.
