This movie was poorly shot, directed, written, and edited. I went to this film expecting at least the action to be badass. But I was let down. The action was extremely predictable and poorly written. It was extremely laughable. Anyone with any comprehension of film would think it's a utter waste of time. I hope my review doesn't disqualify me from other early access showings.

1. First of all a shark movie with PG13 is just wrong. 2. Don't like the product placement in the movie. 3. There is basically no team work to kill the meg. Only the main actor and main actress showing the effort of trying to kill the meg. All these other people on the ship/boat are basically useless.4. Took 40min into the movie see a glimpse of the meg. It's a movie about the meg not romance.

Very predictable plot, with substandard dialogue and disappointing performances throughout. Tried too hard to cater to Chinese government with its obviously forced use of Chinese actors and their disjointed plot lines & dialogue. I know the movie producers want to make money in the Chinese market as well, but this was made even more obvious to moviegoers who were left scratching their heads :(
