Very well directed with great acting and superb AV effects.

Very good movie. The parts on the Ridge were tense and emotional. I would recomend it to war movie fans but might be too much for general viewers.

I really enjoyed this film, Desmond gained the respect of his fellow service men due to the fact he stood his ground on his beliefs :)

The performances were outstanding and the cinematography was superb. The story moved along quickly and while the violence was graphic it certainly furthered the story and demonstrated the horror of war and what happens to the soldiers in it. This movie did not try to convince you of anything but showed a different way of thinking. Only the Japanese are "labeled" good or bad. Excellent film!
