I am not a space movie type of person, and this was basically Star Trek underwater. Of course I do not like Amber heard either, so seeing her in the movie was not fantastic. In fact, many people in the crowd booed when she wouldn’t come on screen. I didn’t feel a connection between Aquaman and his son either. I can tell that they tried to convey that, but it just didn’t follow through. It also seemed like Aquaman was a single dad. There was zero chemistry between Aquaman and his wife.

It's a super hero movie so you dont have to take it too seriously, but there were gaps that we didn't understand, like why was he a single parent when he was married to Mera. The 3D action was best in the opening and closing credits. The rest didn't enhance the movie. Action sequences were good but many storylines were never fleshed out, like the council and the the council's grab for power, etc. Overall, I had a good time with my son, but this movie was just so-so.

Extremely violent!! But, I liked the two main characters. I wish closed caption could be part of the screening because it is sometimes hard to understand the clarity of the words spoken!!

Action sences were predictable and the location look like lord of rings too much. But I would see a third aquaman movie. It's good enough for a Stan alone movie dc series. Other than a dcu movies series.
