Frustrating experience - some good aspects of Asian culture represented, but they are approached a bit more superficially to pay custom to Western expectations of Asian representation. Some of that is inherent to Asian-American experiences, but other aspects (such as the school sequences and the court discourse) is too eerily representative of well-intended but poorly executed films like Freedom Writers. Hard to recommend to other family members or friends, and despite the efforts of all involved, hard to stomach watching.

I like the story but the writing was weak at times. The audio on the basketball scenes was pretty weak and hollow. Plot played out predictably. I really wanted to love this movie but pretty weak performances all around.

Well, can't say yes because it only allowed me to watch a little ... I lost connection so tried to start it again but it told me I watching it on another device ... I actually couldn't try it on another device at the time ...

Will probably appeal to a much younger audience. All the posturing and the casual attitude about first time sex was a turn off.
