Beautifully shot, beautifully acted. Long for my tastes and some scenes were hard to watch. Overall a winner. Possibly an Oscar contender.

The movie followed the real life events as they happened at that time period. The scenery was spectacular. At about 1hr and 45 min into movie it got a bit slow and could have moved a little faster and not spent so much time on showing all the percussion after they were jailed.It will be a great movie for church groups and spiritual leaders to see.

The movie was well crafted and fairly educational about christian persecution in Japan.

I found the movie very interesting. However, the ultimate message of the movie was not clear to me. I could come up with multiple messages all with the same validity.
