I felt like I was attending an exclusive private party but everyone was in on the joke but me. It was fun to see such a great ensemble of actors cutting loose and having fun but I was never sure what the movie was really supposed to be about. The investigation of a missing real estate developer seemed less important than establishing a consistently quirky vibe throughout.

I'm not sure. Parts were very funny but parts were slow and boring. It was a cross between The Big Lebowski and a Raymond chandler novel. It was hard to understand a lot of the dialog because of the cadences.

I was disappointed with the movie. It had several lapses, which made the 2 1-2 hours seem even longer. The all-star cast did not help as the story had too many twists from the start, making it hard for me to follow. Perhaps I am just not the dark comedy "type!"

Very interesting took me way back, caused some major flashbacks from the wild 70's great character studies
