Joaquin Phoenix channels The Dude with a VERY VERY confusing plot. Great cast, great acting and awesome soundtrack.

too many characters hard to follow

I'm a huge Paul Thomas Anderson fan, but I thought that his latest was just ok. Joaquin Phoenix was great. I feel that the length hurt the overall film as well. At 2 1/2 hours, there were several scenes that dragged.

The movie is a lot of fun. At times the movie can be a bit incoherent but not so much so that the true feel of the movie is lost.
