Having gone to frat parties in the early 80s, I could relate to this a lot. The movie captured the times very well including watching "All My Children" as a group. I thought this was going to be another stoner movie but it was more than that. The characters had depth. Stay for the extra bit after the credits.

I think, like all movies these days, there is alot of alcohol abuse and glorification of binge drinking but the story is good and the characters were amazing. Overall, it was a little long but I liked the feel of the movie.

While not necessarily having a plot, Linklater is expert at creating potent emotional moments from simple periods in time, always accompanied with music that gives it an extra punch and puts it in a specific frame in history, while examining different types of masculinity. Wonderful movie.

Great blast to the past movie. I lived in Texas, I am a product of the 80's. It WAS Sex, drugs and babes galore. So true how easy to be a chameleon to get the girl. The music and clothing could have been stolen right out of my own closet, totally bitch'n movie!
