Excellent acting! Excellent story! Best movie I've seen in a very long time!

I think Judi Dench is one of the finest actors of our time. That goes without saying. I also discovered a new young man who is an excellent actor and I will look for Ali Fazal in other films. I was somewhat confused by the modern language that was heard in some of the dialogue since I presumed that the story was true, and didn't expect this laguage in this period. Otherwise the movie kept me entranced and I also appreciated the wonderful costumes.
