Did not understand the ending\r

It was ok. Ending was not as expected.

The acting wasn't great and there seemed to be plot holes. I liked that the ending was ambiguous.

A few things bothered me about the film – the mother was way over the top and didn’t show any kindness. Although I have never lived in a Chinese family, I have worked with the Chinese and her hitting and screaming did not seem authentic. Dialogue between the two main characters was a little slow at times. With that said, I cared about the main characters and wanted to see what happened to them. Film ended a bit abruptly. I would have liked seeing how Boogie fared in China and what happened to him a year later.
