Not my type of movie but the story was good so it kept me watching. Wanted to see more pop smoke. I think the did good in showing you why the dad was so crazy about pushing his son. The scene where they are watching the tennis game is a prime example of the dads motivation.

In my opinion, the movie didn't reach its full potential and it left a lot of things unexplained. However, I believe it's important that the Asian American community has representation. I hope Eddie Huang continues making films about the struggles the Asian community go through.

It was very slow moving and uninteresting.

I liked the concept (Asian American following basketball dream) but I felt the execution was pretty average. There were not many surprises or twists within the story. Still it had value in the point of view presented in terms of the Asian culture in America.
