As a glimpse into one asian teen's life at a pivotal time, it's a fine movie. But I wasn't drawn into any character; not even given the flashbacks into the parents' lives. There were too many conclusions to draw on ones own.

I didn't really know what to expect. The plot reminded me of a lot of different movies combined into one and as it is expected these days brought up race. It was slow and somewhat boring.
