The cast does an excellent job overall. The story is somewhat cliched and a mix of elements that are often used elsewhere. As a note to the continuity people, Frank's sister apparently was not told that after the first ten minutes, the movie took place in 1977, not 1973 as she states to her brother on the porch.

Easy to watch. Good character development.

It was pretty good. Loved Beth. Amazing character, amazingly executed. The were some underdeveloped story lines that were sort of breezed over. The film tries to take so many complex emotions that it falls short of doing so well. Wally's character was a bit over the top, and despite him coming from Saudi origins, he was also stereotypical. All in all it's a good movie; kudos to the writer and everyone involved.

I think it started out strong (up until Daddy Mac died). The characters (Beth and Frank) were likeable, well developed and well acted. In my opinion, the story became cliched after they went home for the funeral, and Frank's character changed too much from the seemingly cool and confident man he was in NY. Everything from him being drunk to punching Walid seemed out of character and exaggerated. The story setting and other characters were believable and well played. Overall a good movie.
