There are definitely thrilling scenes, but most of the movie felt like one long chase.

Though a lukewarm story hinders the film from reaching the heights of Jurassic Park or E.T., Disclosure Day still captures the sense of wonder, joy and adventure that is at the core of why we go to the movies.

I went into the advance screening of Disclosure Day genuinely excited, but I left disappointed. I’ve given it a few hours to sit with me, hoping my opinion might change, but it really didn’t.\r\rFor me, the movie was essentially a two-hour chase sequence with very little payoff. The plot was riddled with holes, several storylines felt underdeveloped, and the ending was ultimately unsatisfying.

Spielberg will always be one of the greatest film directors in cinema history. That hasn't changed. Unfortunately this does nothing to further that fact. It was a disappointing film, about 44 minutes too long. The writing felt like a tepid soup and the acting efforts wasted. All in all it wasn't worth the time it took to watch but John William's music is still awesome.
