This is the type of movie that sticks with you long after the credits role. I'm still processing the movie from a Catholic perspective. The most powerful aspects of the movie, was the silence in some of the scenes. Very well done as well as the beautiful cinematography.

It was better than I expected. It started off slow, but became more engaging as the main character's faith was tested to greater degrees.

Good movie, glad to have viewed. A tad too long

Very good film regarding the introduction of Christianity to Japan, but also very long and slow in many places. If the film was 30 to 45 minutes shorten I would likely give this movie 5 stars and a contender for best picture. Just way too long.
