As the world's most popular pure action franchise, the Fast and Furious cast has a lot of high exceptions to meet from fans. But will the currently untitled 9th film surpass the billion dollar mark as its predecessors have?
While there isn't much confirmation from previous cast members, we can safely assume that we will be seeing more of Vin Diesel (Dom), Michelle Rodriguez (Letty) and Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges (Tej). Jordana Brewster, who played Dom's sister Mia, may also make an appearance, but it'll be interesting to how the directors reintroduce her back in as she was absent from the last film. Plus, Paul Walker's character Brian will not be added in, making Mia's role in the story line more unpredictable. Hobb, played by Dwayne Johnson, also seemingly "retired" at the end of and Michelle Rodriguez made a public statement on her condition of returning as long as the female stars were given more "love" by the franchise.
In October 2017, Diesel announced director Justin Lin, who took the wheel for the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th installments of the franchise, will be back in action as the director.

Idris Elba is set to play the villain for this spinoff movie, which dives into the onscreen chemistry between special agent Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) and mercenary Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham).
