The movie isn't Spider-Man 3 bad so that's a plus. To have an such amazing cast it still come out so bad is truly spectacular. When I go see a superhero movie I'm not expecting an Oscar contender but the writing/directing was so cringe-worthy that my friend and I kept laughing at the film. Venom looked great on screen alone but that fight with Riot was terrible by 2008 standards. I only recommend the film because I don't think people will truly believe how bad it is unless they see it.

More a 2.5, but didn't want to give a 3. It was just, ok. It was really slow moving in the story line. There's a lot of fluff that could have been left out and still got the story across (like Justice League). Other than the motorcycle chase scene and the battle with Riot, there wasn't much action. It seems they tried the Deadpool route relying on comedy a bit, but it fell a little flat. Really hoping there is a major improvement for the sequel.

long intro, blury fights, and when it takes a hour of a movie called venom for venom to show I think that is a issue. It was a OK movie and I enjoyed it but not something I'd be telling friends to go see.

I think it’s better than Catwoman and Fantastic 4. The fight scene could have been better. They were to dark and speratic. I hope Tom hardy can refine the character and the writes write better dialogue and a more compelling story. If the Predator franchise can find people to play the predators I’m sure they can do that for Venom. Some live action Venom would have been fantastic.
