Award worthy in many categories including actors.

Very well done movie. It kept my attention throughout.

I loved the movie, especially having worked as human rights lawyer in Mauritania, the sights and sounds of Nouakchott and the desert and beach were so well captured. The many layers of (in) justice were also well portrayed: the scourge of pretrial detention, the othering of foreigners, the imbalance between the prosecutor and the defense (so well captured by completely redacted documents on one side with the same documents completely unredacted for the other) and we can already see the beginnings of disinformation campaigns that have become so prevalent these days. Sadly, I had to pause in order to join the discussion with 9 minutes left for the movie to end, and when I tried to finish it after the talkback, I couldn’t watch it so I missed the end.

It was very honest and upfront and gave access to another viewpoint.
