Very upbringing during this difficult time. As a first-generation student that went to a predominantly white university I was able to relate to the story line which made the movie that much more real. Also, the colors and songs made it uplifting. Definitely would see it again!

In the Heights singularly redefines what a musical movie can and should be.

I thought it was the most visually stunning movie musical I have ever had the pleasure to watch. The emphasis on the music was extremely strong and the book changes from the original were motivated and important. The artistic integrity of the original musical translated so beautifully to film due to the creative and bold choices made. I loved it and I can't wait to watch it again in theatres.

It was a beautiful adaptation of the stage show and I cried no less than five times! I noticed some changes and while I was surprised, I thought they worked.
