I loved the movie and I think it covers a really troubling aspect of society. It accurately reflects what it is like to be a young woman right now. Seeing how the men treated Cassie when they thought they was drunk was chilling. It brought back bad memories for me but I think it is so important to discuss. It shows women that they are not alone in being treated that way and hopefully will start more conversations about this kind of behavior. It calls out the men who may not be directly involved but go along with it and the women who can't or won't step up to say that it's wrong.

What a brilliant expression of the significant impact sexual assault has on victims and their loved ones. It was a painstaking show of how insane a person can become when they are stripped of their humanity and pushed to the brink. Promising Young Woman is an utter masterpiece and instant classic! Everyone should and needs to watch this film. Promising Young Woman challenges the societal excuses and concepts surrounding sexual assault & rape culture in such an honest and brutal manner. Amazing beginning, spectacular middle, and intense ending. There can not be enough praise for this film!

Deftly tackled a very difficult subject.

Promising Young Woman was absolutely amazing. It was beautifully directed and a very realistic honest portrayal of what women go through and how women feel without being too on the nose about this sensitive topic surrounding sexual assault. The way it was seen as something more than a revenge fantasy story but rather holding both genders and parties accountable is a crucial conversation to start within our society. Emerald Fennell is an absolute genius and Carey Mulligan was stunning in her role.
