It was nice especially to be filled in Richmond Hts Ohio. Wish it would've had more scenes with the antagonist. Showing more of the destruction he had caused. But if I to rank it from 1-10 a solid 7. It was way better than the movie promo's on tv. I hope the movie generates enough money for a sequel or prequel. Again great movie I will recommend oh no don't I'll never say his name Don't think it, Don't say it.

Minor Spoilers implied but not stated. An interesting movie experience. The film has some very good foreshadowing early on, but it doesn't feel like things fully pay off. The villain is fairly frightening overall in how mysterious they are. The concept seems like the Ring mixed with It Follows. Saying the name spreads the power of the creatures and yet he tries to kill people before they have a chance to spread the word as they likely would with patience. There are also signs of the dog early on which doesn't make sense as no one has said the name to invoke this creature. So the concept even at the end of the movie feels half explained. One of the big problems with this movie is a lack of charm or character development. We learn some superficial details about characters, but don't feel too well developed. There's not enough scenes with the characters bonding with others to make them seem likeable. It seems like a brief history or character relation is given, but these characters just feel like side characters in a bigger story. There aren't many moments of levity to make us feel like there is a normal world functioning outside the story of the monster. The intensity pretty much ramps up throughout the film leaving little time to worry about anything other than this mysterious creature. The creature being a mystery is an asset in that the unknown is creepy, but is a bit much in how shallow the other characters are. Characters like Freddy actually taunt their victims to add to the overall charm. Characters like Michael Myers and Jason are more of the unstoppable killing machines that follow and the character's gradually learn about or fight. The villain here is learned about a bit, but the lore felt shallow. With much left unexplained, it seems like some more personality to the creatures would have been good. Just with saying his name being his main feature and given away in posters and trailers, I'd hope for more in the movie. So with the villain being relatively unknown and silent, the other characters needed to pick up more slack.Another problem with the concept is that there can't be much in world lore. If talking about it makes it stronger and it tries to kill anyone who talks about it, then it's hard to have lore to talk about. Perhaps in another movie they could develop the story that the creature is just really tired and trying to eternally sleep. So perhaps it doesn't like people saying it's name, but by the end of this movie it tried to get people to talk about it. So while this creature has good longevity in that it's likely someone will say it's name eventually, it doesn't promote it being talked about. Researching the monster/creature/killer in a horror movie is a common theme that can't be easily done in this world. So this system of not talking about it further limits character interaction and world building. Unlike Harry Potter and Voldemort, they don't just call it He Who Must Not be Named. So characters seem reluctant to talk about it even indirectly as "Don't say it, don't think it." is the general rule. So we don't get many moments of characters expressing ideas about the concept. This movie does seem to have potential. It could even develop some concepts in a sequel. They have plenty of backstory to develop. They seemed to have left out an idea of how to fight it which they could bring back in the future. Not knowing what the creature is and why it does what it does could leave it open for a sequel. It was an overall good experience, but just felt like an unresolved ending in particular. If it were already cleared for a sequel they could have left more unresolved and focus on other ideas. With what they set up, really a second movie is required to tell this movie's true value. As a one off story, the creature just didn't feel developed well enough to want to spread the word about the series.

It had a good plot. I think if I were a 13 year old it would be pretty scary.
