A fun and suprisingly scary splatterfest that works as a great addition to the franchise, even if it doesn’t re-invent the “deadite” wheel. I enjoyed how deftly it blended the balanced the playful tone of 1981 original with the 2013 reboot’s focus on human drama and narrative cohesion. And some of those set pieces are vicious! A total blast to watch with a big audience.

Enjoyed it. Suspenseful, with good homages and callbacks to previous incarnations of the franchise. Brief run time almost leaves one wanting more, though I can't say what I would gave done to extend it.

This was the first movie in probably about 15 years to give me chills. The story was well done, the child actors were spectacular, and the gore was glorious. Any horror fan would love it!

The movie was entertaining. It was very gruesome and intense. I was scared and on the edge of my seat for the most part and the other part I was curled because of certain scenes that just makes you go...Holy Cow, that's so gruesome!!!
