I was left a bit bored by this movie. There is endless fairly good cgi but the story just doesnt make too much sense. Then the ending with the protagonist dying the way he did was completely predictable. The family dyanmics were also predictable.

If you didn’t see the first a person might not understand the film

The movie was just so-so. The acting was just okay not stellar. It was easier to understand the French than the Scottish/Irish people speaking and the music was often so loud that it was impossible to hear what they were saying. The story was nothing extraordinary and the scene at the end was so over-Photoshopped and looked extremely fake.

Good ending to the saga. Similar to first movie with the family battling one challenge after another. Some holes in the plot with the army battles and the explanation surrounding the Clarke impact crater, but overall a good movie. The audience in my theater ooohhhhed and awed and reacted nicely to all the emotional and action parts. Well received.
