The movie itself is fairly derivative, the screenplay telegraphs every single move in a way that makes it almost....boring to watch? You already know what's going to happen so far in advance that nothing lands with any urgency, despite the urgent plot. Claire Foy is a decent Lisbeth Salander, but the fantastic supporting cast (Lakeith Stanfield, Vicky Krieps, Cameron Britton) are wasted on one-dimensional characters and very little to do. A decent watch, but nothing to write home about.

This chapter in the dragon tattooed girl felt a little over the top. Despite her getting beaten down she remains unstoppable. Claire delivered an excellent performance as the infamous Lisbeth Salander but the series of events unfolded rather too conveniently for her. From hacking governments to escaping near death situations Lisbeth is a natural but the story seemed unnatural with the introduction of a new character for the sake of deepening the plot. Added to my list of unnecessary re-boots

The movie overall was good, but it was very slow in the middle.
