The first one was fantastic, but already available on quibi, because we saw it before.. it was a unique story and rememberable for sure. The second which was about a windmill was 99% unbelievable from the start.. while it was interesting.. and the concept was torn apart by ... 100% if you get put in a noose, it tightens, you aren't getting out of it. also.. 40 mph winds taking down a windmill? ...

Both episodes of the 50 states of fright were good versions of chillers. Nothing new, but good versions of nailbiters. I thought they were well done and youngsters will be more affected than an old timer like I am who've seen and read many variations of these stories before.

Like any anthology series, there are going to be good episodes and less-good episodes. Tonight I watched two; Michigan ("Golden Arm") and Iowa ("Almost There"). The former, directed by Sam Raimi, was actually nowhere as good as the latter, which starred Taissa Farmiga. Part of this is the story; "Golden Arm" is utterly predictable and rather silly, but even the filmmaking of the latter is better!
