Excellent depiction of hearing to deafness. We enjoyed the movie quite a bit. There were a few things that really bothered us, however;\r\r1. timing was difficult to ascertain, but something we kept wondering about - over what period of time did it take place?\r2. where did he find all the money to pay for a cochlear implant, a hotel for a month, and fly to Paris?\r3. the entire Paris scene felt gratuitous - there was no need to have the father be a rich Frenchman. \r\r

Interesting journey of the experiences of a life I knew nothing about. It was a moving story of how a life can change, but hopes still linger until reality eventually hits. A great performance by Riz Ahmed.

Solid sad/hopeful feeling movie. Good reminder to wear earplugs
