Beautifully made film. Great performances, great direction, beautiful cinematography. I got a little confused with timetables, though. There are some passings of time that happen and create a sense of confusion about how long things take to happen. But, aside from that, great film.

At some point we all lose what we love the most. In the case of Ruben, his loss of hearing is sudden and he has to go deep inside to find himself. Who is he without music, without hyperactivity, without his partner Lou? A few sections were pretty slow, but overall an excellent film.

Sound of Metal is a good name for this movie. Stillness is good though too.
