The cultural component of the movie was great, but not a huge fan of the story itself. It was interesting to learn how essential Chinese culture/family is to Boogie despite all the American influences that say otherwise. I wish they would of gave more about what happens in his future.

Could not sympathize with any of the characters. Seemed disjointed.

Boogie's concept had a lot of potential and it was awesome to see an Asian-centered film about basketball in NY. I'd hoped for a film with vibrant personality and snark, but it was kind of dull?!\r\rBasketball sequences were incredibly labored. Not sure if that was just a result of the editing or what. Family dynamics were totally relatable. Newcomer Taylor Takahashi fits the part, but his performance is uneven and I never bought Boogie and Eleanor's chemistry. Overall, fine.

It was OK. I found the family dynamics to be most interesting of all.
