The movie was slow and not particularly scary.

It was so so. It was so predictable that I didn't find it to be that scary

Anabelle felt like a montage of scary scenes stitched together with terrible pacing. The overly large cast of characters had very little depth, and felt like they existed mainly to pad out the movie. Character motivations in horror movies can generally be overlooked, but Annabelle pushed that boundary too far. Characters constantly made unrealistic decisions, which distracted from the tone.

It was fine, but not very spooky. It would be nice to see a solid spooky movie that is a little closer to an R rating.
