Soul Stirring

The movie was fantastic, well-paced and informative. However, there were some character elements that took away from the storyline. The way Hampton inflected words made him sound muffled at times, especially during speeches. O’Neal also appeared insincere and weak, which made it hard to believe that he was able to assimilate into the Black Panthers being so blatant.

I think it really gives a new perspective and brand new facts about the history, and I really love all the performances from the actors.

Daniel Kaluuya gives an Oscar worthy performance as Fred Hampton, a Black Panther and Black Messiah continually betrayed at the hands of his apostle, Bill O’Neal - Judas - increasingly reluctant yet ever yielding to the authorities in exchange for his reward.
