Good story line however slow going in first 45 minutes.

Important subject matter but wholly unremarkable film. Very paint by numbers. There is an audience for it though as there were many people in the theatre who seemed affected by the story.

A typically formulaic miscarriage-of-justice work, but that doesn’t keep it from being both inspirational and infuriating. As a depiction of Southern bigotry and courtroom drama, it rivals John Grisham, but its real-life basis grants it genuine emotion and pathos.
