As a fan from the beginning, this story did not disappoint. My Life has always been my favorite Mary album. Her journey, her persistence and Fiery fashion has always caught my attention, but to see the realness of her in this documentary made me love even more than I already did. Hands down my top 3 Mary albums in order: My Life, Share My World and Mary tell sooooo much about her, how could one not love her!

Nothing short of amazing! Mary’s story is my story and I’m sure that’s the same for many others. We have lived through her music and concerts, but to hear about her life’s up and downs in her own words makes you love her even more , and most importantly it helps you know that you too can overcome life’s struggles. I can’t wait to watch it again!

As a fan of Mary J Blige. As a fan of music. As a fan of R&B. As a 80s born 90s raised child; this was amazing. To understand the thoughts, feelings, situation, and reason behind some classic songs as well as life changing album for many was incredible. I was not disappointed at all. Amazing that’s it.

It was so nice seeing this side of Mary. I am a fan of hers and never really knew her childhood struggle and pain. She is real and like all of us she is human. She went into survival mode and was able to use music as an outlet for herself to heal and heal others by doing what she loves, singing! This is a great documentary and I hope Mary can look back on her life with tremendous pride.
