Love this movie! Stellar cast, moving love story, and beautiful set and costume design celebrating a lost era of Black excellence.

Really enjoyed it. Would watch it again.

I'm a hopeless romantic, and have a ton of the Kimani romance books, so I absolutely loved this movie. It reminded me of one of those old Hollywood romance movies, the main difference it starred black people and it had Sylvie being able to realize and live her dream as working in television, which I'm sure was extremely rare, especially for a black woman living in that time. I also loved how they both made sacrifices to allow the other one to live out their dream, but they were able to find their way back to each other in spite of the obstacles in their way

I love an old-fashioned love story! I thought the movie was well acted. The soundtrack was beautiful. I loved it and will watch it again.
