I enjoyed the movie even more after the fact.It was well written and well acted. The characters were believable and relatable.Having taught in a High School - the events were not too unrealistic.Kudos.

It was very amusing, but poignant and sad how children sometimes end up parenting the parents. The movie is appropriately rated R as there is a lot of swear words, some adult sexual situations, and underage drinking. The protagonist, Hailee Steinfeld, fresh off of Pitch Perfect II, does a wonderful job conveying the awkwardness of trying to fit in, trying to be yourself, and sometimes just trying to make it through the day as a teenager. Woody Harrelson is amazing in his role as the almost-burnt out teacher who may or may not give a damn, and that's why you have to watch the movie.

Very realistic for young girls. It had some slow moments, but overall a good movie for everyone. Even my husband enjoyed it. We are over 60 and had some good laughs.
