A very powerful window into the shameful, dark underbelly of the US response to the attacks on September 11, 2001. Should be required viewing for all American citizens who choose to believe in the American myth rather than the American reality.

This was an extremely moving story, told with the sensitivity it deserved. No sugar coating and the layers of lies and horror are slowly scrubbed away revealing a truth that is hard to cope with as an American. I hope this serves as a reminder of exactly how completely and reprehensibly our Constitution was ignored and shredded. The hardest part to deal with was the reveal at the end that AFTER winning his case this poor man remained in prison for many more years. The fact that he has apparently stitched his life back together and has begun again, seemingly with deep forgiveness (or at least acceptance) was extremely moving. It says a lot about his character and faith. I am sure there are many people who will not appreciate the message in this movie and that's a shame. Jody Foster and Benedict Cumberbatch were perfect and Tahar Rahim really did an amazing job of making his real life character appealing and sympathetic and joyful. I would definitely recommend this film.

It was really good. A few spots that were a bit slow but the rest really pulled me in. It made me really furious and sad for those caught in the system... On both sides...
