True to the original musical but so much more relevant for today. A masterpiece in terms of bringing Broadway to Big Screen, it finds a perfect balance between ‘Larger than Life’ and the more serious moments depicted in the musical. Jon M Chu is the only one I want directing fun movies like this.

I got to see this screening on the day my own Abuelita passed. In a way it felt like a celebration of her, and the dreams and goals she had for her family, immigrating to this country in the 1950s. This beautiful film made me laugh, dance, cry and cheer. I was so proud to see how this story has grown and the love and passion put into telling our peoples stories. Mil gracias!

The time has come for such an amazing, feel-good movie from the geniuses of Lin-Manuel Miranda and Jon M. Chu. Anthony Ramos made the roll of Usnavi his own, brilliantly. You can't help but sing and dance along! It's the Must See movie of 2021!
