More for older folks but I enjoyed it was very funny.

Merle Streep was fantastic in this movie. It was funny. The drama was great. I have no idea how Merle could sing so bad. Hugh was a really good side kick. He played the part of a actor, turned love intrest. I was suprised at the pianist Simon Helbg. He actually played. Often you see tje hands of a person but never the actor as the player. I would recommend this to my friends and family

I Iike the movie. It's characters were genuine and the acting was good. The settings created for the period were thoughtful and good too.The moral tale, woman having a hard life, with certain things happening to her that were out of control, the dedication and devotion, love surrounding her, is one for all time.Plus, its such a moderate film in terms of its low level of risque-ness. GOOD.

Very charming story, beautifully acted! Loved it. Would recommend to anyone. BBC does it again!
