There is so much wrong with this movie. It's a little hokey and home movie-ish and doesn't hold together well. That said, I would recommend it to the people I know who know what Bruce is about. I'll warn them not to expect a great movie, but just the joy of watching an adolescent breaking through the obstacles and discovering himself. It's about Bruce's energy.

It's a good coming of age story from a second generation immigrant's perspective.

Nice message & it was definitely a passion/memory filled production. The arrangement of singing and fact that you really only got information on the main guy made it a bit hard to empathize with. Still an interesting film, just not a film I’d choose to see again.

Good, not great. The second act is problematic as it didn't seem to always embrace the main character's desires and needs consistently. I would argue that it is 30 minutes too long and I didn't always appreciate how the lyrics from Springsteen often matched the main character's emotions -- it felt too contrived and too on the nose.Direction of actors and costume and music design were terrific.
