entertaining, informative and timely for the season!

A movie though the eyes of Dickens. Very interesting and enlightening. A blending of the past and present and of the real and not so real characters attached and affected the writer.

I enjoyed this movie very much; but, was surprised by the very Canadian look of it. At first, I couldn't understand why the lead actor was overacting so wildly & clearly he'd been encouraged to by the director who kept the camera sitting on top of him throughout. Then it eventually clicked in that "A Christmas Carol" had been a SHORT story & now they were trying to just keep it going for 2 hours.

It was a pleasantly humorous twist on the tale. I enjoyed it as well as my friend.... she loved it and thought it would become a new Christmas Classic.
