It is not easy to dramatize a journalistic process, no matter how big the story. The screenplay is excellent with good pacing and the acting is just as good.Ruffalo's character is drawn too dramatically after he gets the Cardinal's letters. This is a directoral mistake, not the actor's.

Very thrilling glimpse into the world of news reporting and the ramifications, political maneuvering and ethical obligations involved.

Excellent, engaging film. Best of the (all good) recent films I've seen (Suffragette, Bridge of Spies, Jobs, and Black Mass). This is important stuff AND it's well done. Everyone should see this, IMO.

It was a bit slow, but I did enjoy the movie. It reminded me of the Pelican Brief with its adult story. I would not recommend this for children under 14 years old.
