It was okay

Good family film. Good escape from 100 degree weather! Great for Springstein fans!Sometimes, the words going by and the camera swinging around gave me motion sickness.All around, nice movie, not great, but nice.

This movie definitely has something to say. I just didn't think it was said very effectively. For the movie being about a writer, the writing was very poor, with the characters quoting lyrics to each other coming off as tacky and awkward. However, the themes of how music transcends your situation and speaks to people in unexpected ways was beautiful. I also appreciated the message of forgiveness!
