The premise is entirely ridiculous, a geostationary orbital weapons network that is used to "combat" global warming, works, at first, but then... Felt sorry for Butler. Cornish has never looked better or been more bad *$$. Talented Wu was needlesssly squandered. SFX are OK, but nothing new. A decent action entertainment, but won't contend for any awards.

The film could have been a blockbuster. My issues were why focus on multiple storms in one area when one major storm can cause the catastrophic event. For example in the state of Florida it’s known for hurricanes, why have multiple lightning storms when a category five would have been more believable. Having hundreds of thousands of lightning strikes made the movie a bit corny...

This film was entertaining but lacked a good storyline. To often things were easily predictable. The had a deficit of realism.

It’s a popcorn movie, but it’s so unrealistic it’s funny. People who enjoy disaster movies will probably enjoy this.
