I enjoyed the cultural aspects of the film! At times, it felt like the story was not moving forward, but overall it was a decent film that late high school or college-aged viewers will particularly enjoy!

Trying to please everyone but himself.

I will give it a mixed review. A lot of it is excellent. The basketball story is great. Good acting. I thought some of the language was overly offensive. I had a hard time understanding what happened to Boogie's basketball situation at the end. Was he going to China or college? I think the best part was how well informed it was of Boogie's family's culture and life in New York.

I thought it was a good coming of age story that will appeal to a younger demographic and most relatable to those that have grown up in a urban atmosphere. I think with everything that is going on it helps to relate the racial struggles in America from different cultural perspective.
